This Week’s Gigs in Bristol – 10th April 2012

The Staves

The music scene is a bit of a quiet in Bristol at the moment but there are a couple of highlights this week – Boy and Bear (indie rock from Sydney) are a recent signing to Communion and play The Cooler on Wednesday night with support from the excellent Monument Valley, who headlined at the Louisiana a few weeks ago.

If you don’t fancy that, you might want to head over to Bath where one of my current favourites, Daughter, are playing Moles (also on Wednesday).

Meanwhile, The Louisiana have an unmissable weekend of modern folk this weekend with Laura Gibson on Saturday and if you only leave the house once this week I suggest it’s to go and see The Staves play there on Sunday.
